Every year on Easter Sunday for the last eight years, global defence and contingent workforce provider TBW Global have waited outside of church on base in Afghanistan to give out chocolate eggs to serving NATO troops. That was until this year, where Covid-19 quarantine measures meant that this could not happen. So the TBW Global team delivered food to those in quarantine instead.
It’s not just in Afghanistan where the team have been supporting the community. A contractor who is currently employed overseas, wanted to support his wife who speaks limited English and was finding lockdown a struggle. The TBW Global team reached out to linguists living in her area who have helped her to buy shopping and other essentials.
Chief Operating Officer of TBW Global Clare Riches said: “TBW Global work in some of the most hostile and austere locations around the world, but the Coronavirus reminds us the importance of community and I am proud that we playing our part in supporting different communities during these unusual circumstances.”
