TBW Global’s Voyager Translates app is a world’s first app specifically designed for use by the armed forces and defence industry. Basic translation apps currently on the market are essentially virtual language-to-language dictionaries. Voyager Translates uses neurolingual processing and is the only app on the market with a database of nuanced vocabulary specific to the language needs of our military and defence clients.

We offer the only translation app on the market that is customized to military needs, and we offer it exclusively for our clients at no added cost. Basic translation apps currently on the market are essentially virtual language-to-language dictionaries, whereas the best translation apps are backed by neurolingual processing. Neurolingual processing adds a database of more nuanced vocabulary options than a traditional rules-based dictionary and it employs machine learning so that the app improves over time as more consumers use the app. Voyager 365 uses neurolingual processing and is the only app on the market with a database of nuanced vocabulary specific to the language needs of our military and defense clients.

The Speech-To-Text Translation feature captures speech or audio and translates into your chosen language. This option is ideal for short, in-person conversations and queries—since the app provides the audio translation, you never have to worry about pronouncing a word incorrectly or compromising security by displaying your phone screen.

Have a text-based conversation with another app-holder anywhere in the world in the language of your choice. This option is best for non-critical communication with someone who isn’t co-located with you. For example, this feature is ideal during multinational training sessions and battlefield planning. This feature could also save time in a live theater environment when you need non-critical information.

The Image Translation feature of Voyager Translates uses an over camera reader function to detect text in an image, the neurolingual processing can attempt detection of the source language, or if known it can be selected from the menu. Once text has been read by the camera it is then translated into the target language, these translations are then stored for later use.

We Love our Clients, And They Love Us

I would like to praise TBW for their impeccable customer services. Everytime I call, no matter who picks up the phone, I am always met on the other end with a friendly, helpful and optimistic voice.

I always look forward to the next exercise or rotation [of Civilians on the Battlefield]. It expands and stimulates my life. Sort of like an adventure-survival course. The unknown and the challenges are there, plus a chance to prove myself … The situations we act out are real in many parts of the world. It is fascinating to work with the military and I am trying to figure out the whys or how come strategies are executed in a particular way. Like a gigantic chess game. I would not want to miss it.

Gerda Stickler

have conducted a few observations and have been seeing some quality teaching practice.

Also, we have just enjoyed the second round of learner presentations where we hosted a number of guests from across ITC and beyond. The comments we received were extremely positive, so the teachers must be doing a great job when I’m not sitting in the back of the class, too.

As a fundamental component to the success achieved, the role of the interpreter cannot go unmentioned or underappreciated. Hussain’s fire service knowledge was essential in ensure the correct interpretations were made, tireless efforts and cooperative nature was a great bridge across cultures. Hussain was an essential member of the team and is highly recommended for future interpreter roles.

A heroic effort to get that turned around so quickly, thanks both. 3.5 hours from request to response all in.
